April-May

April

The week before Easter, we took Brody & Jett to the City Egg hunt. Brody got some prizes and 2 balloons from Grandpa- a green one and a blue one.

Jett was a good boy and sat in his car seat the whole time.

He has started to show intrest in rolling over. He only rolled half way so he could see the tv better.

Notice the fat lip. Brody had a run in with the tile floor! He fell so hard right on his face, giving him a bloody nose and mouth. Thank goodness I was doing hair, if those girls weren't there I may have had a heart attack.

First swimming day of the year! Unfortunately the wind has started up, making it hard to swim in the afternoon. Not to mention the fires in Mexico....the smoke is gross!

Brody LOVES hats. luckily his Aunt Holly bought him a new one and I can hide this beanie!

May

Yesterday Jett cried the whole way home from the grocery store, we got in the house and made him a bottle to feed him. But I still needed to get the groceries out of the car- hot day+ice cream= melty! So I asked Brody if he would feed Jett...and he did until it was gone! Now let's teach him to burp him. haha. just kidding!

Lucky for us, Jett has started to show interest in holding his own bottle! He held it the whole time last week! I have a picture of Brody doing the same thing at 3 months! Smart boys!

Tomorrow Brody is 2yrs & 8 months &
Jett is 3 months!
If you haven't caught it yet, they were both born on the 12th of Sept. & Feb.

Here is Jett's stats (not too accurate, I did it myself)

12.5lbs

26"
and cute as can be!

length 24.5", 90%

So he's our little string bean! But has started to fill out, especially his face, making him look not-so thin!

Growing like Weeds!

Jett is two months today! Hooray!

Next time I decide to have a baby...somebody tell me that it gets WAY better by 2 months, because apparently I forgot with Brody.

These last 2 weeks have been amazing. Jett is on a wonderful schedule.

Wakes up 6-7am, eats and is awake for 1 hour

Naps for 3 hours, then eats

awake for 3 hours with 1 cat nap in between, eats.

Naps for 3-4 hours and wakes up between 5-6

awake for 2 1/2 hours, eats

Goes to bed between 8-9pm

Sleeps ALL NIGHT! booya!

This schedule of his really allows me to spend lots of time with Brody. He is very demanding of attention. But I think he is loving Jett more and more. He loves to do silly faces to make him smile.

Above is Jett at 2 months and below is Brody at 2 months. Do you think they look alike? I sure do! I'm a girl in a world of BOYS! This picture cracks me up. Their noses crinkle the same. haha

I'm grateful for my Brody-boy. He has become such a sweet big brother, in just the last two days. He is willing to do things for me. As for me, I've learned that I need to praise him more for the things he does to help out. It has made us a happier bunch. Last night we were having FHE, and Lance asked Brody why we say our prayers and go to nursery, and he replied, "for Jesus, I love Jesus." It makes you feel so good as a parent that your efforts to teach your children really do sink in. We are doing great and having so much fun!

Our Life

Today was a great day. Lance gave Jett a wonderful blessing...especially since Jett basically cried the WHOLE time! I think my favorite thing he blessed Jett with, is to always love and obey his mother. Well, I was a terrible picture taker, but luckily my personal photographer, my sister Adele was here and took some family pictures for us. So eventually I will get those up, but we had all of our family here and had a wonderful time! Well, I caught a video of the boys tonight and it totally gives you a glimpse of our daily life perfectly! Jett, a sweet innocent baby who loves the attention of his brother. Brody, a high-energy boy wanting the attention from anyone and everyone!

Update.

Let's start off the post right...

Our little Jetters is growing up so fast!

What the heck did I do with my time before I had two?

I can't say it enough, but seriously Jett is the best baby. We had a rough go with nursing and tummy problems. I have stressed about it WAY too much. It was so easy with Brody, that I always compared it to that. Well, not so much this time. I've decided I'm done...I've given it a good try, but it's just not working. Don't think I gave up without having a few good meltdowns. haha. But he loves the bottle and formula that doesn't hurt his tummy. Let me give you a bit of a background on Jett- laid back, calm, sleepy-head, chill, relaxed. Meaning nursing is TOO hard. The bottle just drops the milk in his mouth...NO WORK. We sure are happier around this house though, and I love it!

Brody on the other hand...Does anyone want a 2-year-old? I will be happy when this stage is over. Testing every boundary and doing things just to get attention. Not to mention, I'm pretty sure we have ourselves a bully. He is so mean, and I just don't get it. Any suggestions on that? I'll take anything. He can be such a sweetheart and so funny. He helps me a lot with Jett and I'm so grateful to have him here to help me too!

Lance is doing great. He is working his tail off and I rarely see him anymore with work so busy! And when he finally gets home, he helps me a ton! I don't know what I would do without him...probably go insane!

We are working on getting our garden ready to plant and Jett's blessing is next Sunday and I'm excited to see all my family! So pictures will be coming soon!

Sunday

Yesterday was our first Sunday back to our ward. It was perfect! I needed it more than anything. It's hard to miss that many Sundays. Jett slept the whole time...which is totally opposite from Brody. But, we all know Brod's energy level.

We just got back from Jett's one month doctor appointment and here are his stats~
weight- 9lbs. 11oz. 50%
length- 22.5" 90%
I asked about his tummy problems and he has colic. He just has a hard time digesting the milk, but I've already seen improvement within the last week. So hopefully with one more month it should work itself out. He really is a sweet baby and it's so hard to see him in pain, when he just wants to relax.
