Crazy Days

A couple weeks ago we cleaned our carpets...and Jett was my little helper.

The next couple pictures are part of the reason I made the blog private.  Jett ran outside before I could put a diaper on and I could help taking pictures of him working so hard on the quad while naked.

He was taking his job very serious.

Then April 18th Jett woke up with a fever and throwing up.  I thought it was from the ice cream the night before and some possible teething.  The next day, Brody came down with a cold, and we all went downhill from there. Lance and I stayed home from church Sunday to take care of the boys.  Monday, I caught the lovely cold and it was awful.  Jett started getting better Wednesday, and Brody was pretty much better- he has the best immune system.  Lance went to work Wednesday night and got really sick.  Thursday he tried to work, but had no energy.  I was a little stuffy still, but that was it.  Jett woke up from his afternoon nap with a burning fever, so I called and we got right into the pediatrician.  Turns out he had a tiny ear infection- that if I had brought him in earlier they would have sent us home.  Thank goodness, So Jett was now on antibiotics.  Lance came home from working all morning, sick.  He had to work that night again and only made it about 3 hrs. and came home.  Friday morning, Lance was terribly sick, with a burning fever.  I made him an appointment with our doctor.  We got in at 10am and his temp. was 104.8.  The Dr. sent us right to the ER with possible pneumonia.  We finally got admitted by noon.  His chest was hurting really bad and was so delirious.  They got him a breathing treatment, a pain shot, and an IV.  They took many blood tests and chest x-rays and ruled out pneumonia.  It was a positive for Flu, but on the verge of becoming bronchitis.  We were discharged around 4 with a list of prescriptions.  It was an awful weekend and of course the nights were the worst.  We are all so glad it's over and couldn't have done it without Lance's mom, for watching the boys for 2 days. 

After we were all better, we took a drive to see our house!  This was as of Saturday May 5th.  And we just went out yesterday and the stems are done too!

These boys are silly. Brody is growing up so big and so is his personality.  I'm grateful for his ability to now reason, talk, and understand.  He's a moody one, but when he's happy...he's silly! 

Brody's favorite tv show is Team Umizoomi.  We only get like 1 episode a day, so Brody asks all day until it's on.  He loves to do arts & crafts and is really good at using glue. 

His crack is always showing.  Brody was blessed with a thin/no hips structure and a high crack from my family.  He seriously can't keep his pants up and we just had to go up a size (4T) because the size smaller are high waters on him.  Which makes the problem worse.

He is a curious one.  One morning I walked in the kitchen to make Jett some toast, and found this in the toaster.  I don't know if he put it in there & I accidentally toasted it or if he did.  He told me he put it in though and that scared me enough. I know he did it out of pure curiosity, which I love about him, but he scares me with his smarts.

And then there is the Jetters.  Who is the sweetest, but just as curious as his brother.  The next few pictures are to explain his monkey abilities.  He loves to climb on the swing outside and then have Brody swing him.  Scares me big time!

He is silly as can be.  He is starting to talk a bit more. He says dadda, I-dadda (hi dadda or bye dadda while waving), daw (dog), mmmmmama, baba (bottle or pointing to Bobo(brody)).  He has a wicked Standage gap, Blonde blonde hair.  He claps, waves, and marches.  And is as smart and strong as his older brother.  No joke.

Most of these things he's been doing since he turned one, but I'm finally getting around to documenting them.  He knows how to open the laptop.

This is his favorite spot in the family room.  He gets in the drawer and can reach any of the buttons or climbs up by the tv to get the best view. 

He climbed on the couch, up the couch, and to the window to see daddy coming home.  I kid you not.  This is why his nickname is monkey.

Easter 2012

April 7th, we headed to Thatcher for our Allred Easter Picnic out at the corrals. We had yummy hot dogs & hamburgers, french fries & onion rings & of course the best desserts! The men had a roping contest, the women chatted it up & the kids colored Easter eggs, had an egg hunt & did a pinata. It was a blast!

The kids ran for the as much candy as they could grab. Jett was satisfied with 2 boxes of Dots.

Lathan, Lance, & Calvert.

We had a fun time & always look forward to family get together in Thatcher. We left around 4 to head home. We got to the highway and then realized we weren't ready to leave. So we decided to turn around & go hang out with Calvert & Jac. The kids hung out, we had dinner, & didn't leave until 8pm. Which was perfect for the boys to sleep all the way home.

Easter was the next day. Brody has been so excited for the Easter bunny to come. A funny little story that happen a couple weeks ago: We get quite a few bunnies down here & there were 2 in our backyard. Brody saw them & asked why they were at our house. I jumped at the opportunity to 'scare' Brody into being a good boy and told him that they were the Easter Bunnies spies. It actually helped. Anywho, I decided to keep the baskets simple this year, each boy got a book & a package of peeps. Also, Brody has been big into watching Max & Ruby, and in one of the episodes there is a chocolate chicken. Therefore, Brody wanted a chocolate chicken. I couldn't find one, but he was very happy with his chocolate bunny & ate it for lunch. Church isn't until 1pm, which I'm so over. It's such a hard time for the boys, not to mention nursery. Well, here we are in our Easter getup.

We spent the rest of the afternoon with Lance's family. When we got home we put a very tired Brody to bed & we hung out with Jett. It got very quiet & this is what we found. He some how opened the PEZ Bunny & sucked on the candy wrappers until he could bite the candy out. Seriously this kid is a total monkey, which will be a post of it's own come very soon.

This Week

We started the week off with a little Spring Snow. I was happy with the warm sunny weather we WERE having & then all of a sudden, it got really cold & snowed. Brody loved it snowing all morning.

Then, this last weekend Becca & Scott brought their two cute girlies down to play. Brody loved having Mariah to play with. We went to Bisbee, ate yummy pizza & looked in the antique shops.
I really wanted this cute airplane for the boys room, but when the price was $250 I figure I could pass it up. Jett was a good little boy & hung out in his stroller the whole time.


On Monday, Lance was lucky to have the day off. So he got the tractor & took it out to our land to clear the brush & some trees. Him & Brody worked all morning, so Jett & I brought out some subs & ate lunch with them. Hopefully this week they will be able to prep everything for the concrete!

Silly Faces

These silly faces always start when I'm trying to take a picture of Brody. Here is my favorite one of the day. It's one of those pictures...the longer you stare the funnier it gets.
