First Cold Night

Lance was working all weekend. It rained a little bit & the temperature kept dropping. By the middle of the night Brody made his way into my bed, Jett woke up next. Jett's room was freezing, so we all ended up snuggling in bed. I didn't sleep that much, but I'm sure they did- when we all slept in till 8. Good thing Lance wasn't home, otherwise he would have been kicked out!

It ended up being so cold that I turned the heater on to take the chill off. But not to worry 2 days later we were back up to 90 degrees!

Mt. Lemmon

Last Friday Lance took me on a surprise date!

We drove up to Mt. Lemmon in Tucson. It felt so much like fall & I loved wearing a sweater!
First we took a ski lift ride.

At the top of the mountain

We walked around the mountain, and then got back on the lift. The lift ride wasn't my favorite. I've been plenty of times in the snow. But for some reason it was a lot less fun.

We then stopped by the Cookie Cabin & got a gigantic Chocolate Chip Cookie. And then Lance got a call...

Oh yep, he's still on the phone...

Much better. haha. Just kidding. He actually turned his phone off for the whole drive up(2hrs.). Any business owners know how hard that is to do. And I really loved the peaceful drive.

Sunday Best

Brody got a new Sunday outfit for church(9/18/11/). I'm pretty proud of the sales I hit on each item.

Today was a special day. Brody turned 3 & Jett turned 7 months!

We started the celebrating the day before. Holly came down and after dinner Brody got to open some gifts & eat cake!

Brody got SO many gifts. Most of them being cars! Although he got many puzzles from Grandma- which he is so good at!



Then we ate cake & ice cream



I think we can all say that this was the face of the weekend. Every time we asked him to smile, this is what we got.




He loved his cars & chocolate cake





...But mostly just ate the frosting off the cupcakes.






Monday September 12, 2011




Brody woke up to balloons all over his room. He was so excited. Daddy went and picked up birthday doughnuts.(our new tradition).

We took some quick birthday pictures

And headed to the mall to play at the play area & get some candy- he always chooses those rock hard bananas.

Then at 5, we headed to Peter Piper Pizza. I asked Brody if he wanted to invite friends & have a birthday party at our house. But everytime, he would tell me no, I want to go to Peter Piper Pizza. I can't complain, it was so low key, but we had a blast!

The boys: Lance, Tanner, & Mike. They started a basketball tournament. Of course, Mike won, but kimber didn't come too far behind!

All of us collected our tickets & at the end gave them to Brody. It wasn't a surprise when all he wanted was the hot wheels.

Then he opened some more presents...mostly boring ole clothes from mom. haha. But he loved the new car wash. Which is his favorite thing to do. Clean cars.

Jett turned 7 months on Sept. 12th, Brody's birthday

A couple things about Jett:

He started this funny sniffing thing. He loves to impress us with it. It's so cute!


Here we are at our first HS football game of the season

It's hard for Brody to share his cars, but every once in a while Jett is lucky enough to play with them.




Yes I let my kids watch tv. And Jett has a favorite. Every time he is fussy beyond comfort, we turn on backyardigans, and it cheers him up.

This was Jett's first trim. NOT a haircut. He had some ridiculously long hairs around his cowlick that were out of control. Lance constantly begs me to buzz our boys hair. But every mom will agree with me. I'm not cutting that beautiful baby hair off!

Jett is also...

-crawling

-Pulling up, and can hold on with one hand

-tries to stand

-eats just about anything

-wishing his teeth would come in, so he could eat "real" food

-loves bread, mashed bananas & potatoes, ice cream, trying to drink from a cup.

-playing with the magnet letters on the fridge

-following his brother around, even if he's teasing him.

-walking while holding something, like the couch or Brod's big car.

I thought Brody was physically fast, but I think Jett is trying to keep up with him and doing things a lot quicker than I anticipated.

Rodeo

Labor day weekend we headed to Sonoita, AZ for the rodeo! We try and go every year because it's so much fun!

First things first. Kettle corn!

Despite the fact that I look disgustingly sweaty, the weather was perfect!

Brody played a lot on the stairs...


Jett was perfect as usual, and enjoyed his first taste of popcorn!



The rodeo was awesome! Lance was really sad that we missed the steer wrestling.




Rachel, Chad, & Royce came down to play! I loved watching these two play, they're only about 5 weeks apart! I'm so glad my boys have cousins to play with!

Brody is 3!

This kid sure is happy, energetic, spirited! Brody has sure given us a run for our money. But looking through all these pictures has me thinking of what a sweet boy he can be. I've loved what a snuggler he is. I appreciate all his help when Jett was born. I love the special, quiet moments when "no one" is watching & he is sweet & kind to his younger brother.
Happy Birthday to my big boy! You're the best & Mom and Dad love you, along with many others!
