Workin Man

Yesterday I ran across these photos as was burning my pictures to a CD, and couldn't help but put these two up.

Lately Brody has been wanting to be outside...ALL DAY! He gets SO black from head to toe. But If he's happy I'm happy. Well this day, Lance was servicing all of his equipment and Brody wanted to help him and Zach! He was stinky, black, oily--but he was LOVIN it!

My Worst Nightmare...

Ok, so maybe I'm being a bit dramatic. But this has been a fear of mine and it came true this morning...

Lance and I headed for Food City to shop for his young men campout at like 730 this morning(I know we are such early risers). But we finished up our shopping and headed to unload and back to pick up my truck from getting the oil changed.

So anywho, I buckled Brody in the truck, set the keys down, left the door open and went back to help Lance unload the rest of the groceries into the back of the truck. We finished up and I headed to the passenger door, where Brody was sitting. I locked the door (Brody's always trying to unlock the door). and shut it. CRAP! Lance said, "you didn't just lock the door." And I answered ya. I went over to lance's side and he showed me that his side was locked too. NO!!! I was completely consumed with...I don't even know. I felt like I was going to suffocate...I'm the worst mom in the world! I straight up locked my child in the car...and the sun is beating right on him....and the keys are in the car.

For a few seconds, Brody had his bottle in his hands and grinning and smiling. The complete opposite of me...I was bawling- I'm a bit over dramatic. Then he chucked the bottle to the ground and started winning which 8 min. later turned into an upset child. I felt SO bad. Lance called one of his employees to run over to our house and get the spare key. Great idea...except it was going to take him at least 20min! Not so great. I swear people where looking at us like we were crazy. I'm bawling below the truck(so Brody wouldn't see me and get more upset) and Lance has his body to the window making funny faces at B, to try and make him happy. I finally couldn't take it anymore. I said "Lance bust the darn window open and get my baby out!" I know again I'm a bit over dramatic! Just imagine watching your child cry and scream so hard and you can't do anything...then you'll be dramatic too. Any who, since Lance has gotten two warnings about the huge crack in his windshield, we really didn't care about breaking in. So Lance got a drill bit out of the back of the truck and started chipping out the windshield. He got the hole big enough then reached through and unlocked the door! And a nice neighboring man gave us a tiny little broom to sweep up the glass. I was just so happy to have my baby out of the truck. It's funny though, Lance and I were talking later and figured the reason why Brody was so upset is because he was strapped into his car seat! haha. Anywho, that's my story and it sucked!

In Memory

One of Lance's friends, Kameron Haban, passed away Wednesday at 10am after a long and difficult fight with Lupus. Kameron was a generous, loving and incredible person. His family grew up in Lance's home ward and He was great friends with his brother Matt and Dan. They lived in Thatcher for many years. This past year they moved to Sierra Vista.
Jami is a strong, faithful and just plain amazing woman who has been such a rock through this whole trial. They have a son, Kason, who is a 2 1/2 year old who is so sweet, soft-spoken and tender-hearted. Jami and Kason are now left on this earth without their sweet husband and father. While they know they WILL be reunited with him, they are need of thoughts and prayers. I would also like to make a plea to everyone to help support this family in another way. We just opened up an account in their behalf yesterday. Anybody can go to any Bank of America branch and ask to make a donation to the account under JamiLynn Haban for the benefit of Kameron Haban -OR- you could also make an online donation at paypal.com then send a donation to habanfundraiser@gmail.com. Please know that I would never ask this of you if it wasn't something that I truly believed in and something and someone that is in true need. Thank you so much to everyone for their support and love.

If you would like more information on the family, you are welcome to check out her blog where she has been documenting her experience. It is a detailed and heart-felt blog that is sure to touch your heart. Please read her post!! She really is an inspiration to Me and MANY others! The address is kamandjami.blogspot.com

Thanks again. Much love to you all

Eleven Months Today!

Eleven Months.
This really isn't fair...they grow WAY too fast!
As you can see in most of these pictures, Brod is only in a diaper. He hates clothes and hates being dressed. And if I let him he would love to be completely naked. Brody loves to get his hair cut and giggles the whole time I use the buzzers. He basically gets a hair cut every six weeks...haha.
He climbs on everything and anything and usually gets hurt. Two weeks ago he mastered the dishwasher...He loves to pull the silverware out while I' m putting the dishes away
FOOD! He likes to eat like a big boy...so I let him. He probably gets a bath twice a day.
And he definitely knows how to throw a temper tantrum. I'm really scared for the terrible two's!
This was Brody's first time at a birthday party. He loves swimming and being in the water.
One more month and then he will be ONE!!!

I Love Luci

I have a wonderful friend, who also happens to be a neighbor of mine. Her sweet husband has been battling brain cancer for longer than the odd are. This morning, Bob passed peacefully at 8am. Lance and I just got back from visiting. Lance gave Luci a sweet blessing of comfort. The best way to descibe Bob is exactly what Luci said," Well, the cancer was going to be the one to take him, because Bob wasn't goin down without a fight." What a wonderful and sweet man. We Love the Jamison's and couldn't have asked for better neighbors!

We love you, Luci and JC!!!

From This to That!

This: Blondie...

That: Brunette!

So while I was in Mesa this past weekend I colored my mom's hair. When I got home I had quite a bit of color leftover. SO...before church I decided I needed a change and colored my hair! I about made Lance have a heart attack, with such a drastic change! haha. He didn't love it at first...but then I reminded him that it was same color when we got married! I've been waiting until it was closer to autumn....August is close enough right?
