Recent Happenings

It's been getting pretty cold the last two weeks and the fall colors are beautiful. I'm not sure how I feel about the cold yet though...Because the monsoons were so wonderful here this summer. But I am loving that we've been able to make fires. We took some quick pictures before we went to carve some pumpkins...

And yes, we grew three of the four in this picture. I'm pretty proud of that...haha. It was a lot of fun. This was the first night that it was pretty cold. So we got to wear sweaters and Brody wore his cute hoodie.
Lance wasn't able to be home for Halloween...but he shot us some food! ha. No, but after such an eventful weekend hunting, :( and 15 min. till sundown Saturday night he shot his deer at 482 yards. We almost lost it though, when it started rolling down the cliff, and fortunatly got caught in a bush. We made jerky all Sunday and Monday, which I must say is AMAZING.
And then this last weekend my sister and her husband came down to S.V. for his hunt. It was fun for us to hang out and the cousins too. Here's Brody and Tate...They are going to be good friends growing up!

Wow Chelsea! It seems like you were just a little girl running around over here. Now you are married, you're a mom and you're growing and hunting your own food. You must have had some amazing Young Women's leaders to have become so productive. Great job little Chelsea!
